Ornamental Trees for Sale for Georgia
Palmco’s 600-acre plantation in Florida is one of the largest in the continental United States. We offer palms, bamboos, and other ornamental trees for sale, many that are exotic and rare, and can provide you with several cold hardy species to suit your architectural and landscape design needs in Georgia.
The island that Palmco resides on – charming Pine Island – has a moderate climate that is perfect for long growing seasons. This ensures that we can grow for longer and in better conditions than would otherwise be possible. As one of the largest growers in North America, our plantation measures over 600 acres. Combined with the long growing season, this results in an almost unparalleled number of high-quality cultivated plants.

Here are some options that will flourish in Georgia:
King Sago – Plant the King Sago in zones 8 to 10 for its unique shape and texture and glossy metallic leaves. Despite its name, this is not a palm at all. It’s a cycad plant, one of the oldest plants in the world that dates to prehistoric times. Originating in Japan’s southernmost islands, it adapts to temperatures from 15 to 110°F, and full sun or partial shade. It looks great in the shrub border or as an accent on a large lawn or near a patio.
Mule Palm – If you are looking for a specimen palm that no one else will have, the Mule Palm is a great choice. It’s one of the hardiest feather palms and is a man-made hybrid between the Pindo and the Queen palms. At maturity, it has a dark brown trunk with a massive caliper. Its pinnate fronds are long with wide, dark green leaflets that resemble the fronds of a coconut palm. But the fact that it is cold hardy down to 15°F really grabs customers’ attention.
Windmill Palm – This palm’s fronds are divided into about 30 leaf segments ranging from yellow-green to dark green, and they grow upward, vibrating in the wind as if they are spinning… like a windmill. Windmills are among the most cold-hardy palms, tolerating temperatures as low as 5°F, and thriving in zones 7b to 10b. Although they can reach 40 feet, most top out at 25 feet. They like a sunny, moist and well drained area, and are stunning when planted in multiples.
