Miramar Palm Trees For Sale

Miramar Palm Trees For Sale

Do you need a stunning island beauty for your Miramar landscape?

Palmco has many varieties of stunning palm trees for sale that will transform your Zone 10b residential development, resort hotel and golf course, and any other environment into a tropical masterpiece.

Palmco is one of the largest palm plantations in North America. We specialize in growing Florida Fancy grade wholesale palms, primarily for planting zones in the southeastern U.S.

We are headquartered in the sleepy farming community of Bokeelia on Pine Island, where the surrounding waters keep the temperatures perfect for growing palms and bamboo nearly year-round.

Our mission is to consistently deliver the highest grades of palms.

Your tropical monsoon climate in Broward County provides one of the best growing environments for palm trees. They love the mild winters, with lows ranging from about 25° F to 40° F, as well as the 250 average days of sunshine and high summer humidity and rainfall.

You’re probably already familiar with some of the most popular Zone 10b palms – Areca Palm, Silver Bismarckia (Bismarck) Palm, and Bottle Palm – but Palmco grows more than 30 different species!

Here are a few examples of our plants:

Caranday Palm (aka Wax Palm)

This is a rare and unique palm with origins in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil and Paraguay, where the hard trunks are used for telephone poles. In the wild, Copernicia alba or Trithrinax campestris can reach heights of 60 to 70 feet, but it typically grows no taller than about 30 feet in cultivation. It has unusual costapalmate leaves which are partially palmate and partially pinnate. The stiff wax-covered fronds tend toward blue-green on the surface and powdery-white underneath. Caranday’s spread is about 10 to 15 feet, so be sure to give it space to grow. At Palmco, we recommend that you plant this beauty in groups of 3 or more at staggered heights for an impressive look.

Ribbon Palm (aka Fountain Palm, Ribbon Fan Palm, Weeping Cabbage Palm)

This variety is another showpiece, especially when planted along driveways and avenues. From Australia, Livistona decipiens is sturdy, drought-tolerant, salt-tolerant, disease-resistant and very cold-hardy, even into Central Florida. What makes it so graceful and gorgeous are its long, wispy costapalmate leaves that hang down like delicate ribbons. This palm adapts to many types of soil but prefers a fairly well drained environment. It also loves the bright sun but will also thrive in partial shade. It will grow slowly to an average of 30 feet. We recommend planting Ribbon Palms where their delicate fronds will not be shredded by high winds.

Robelenii Palm (aka Pygmy Date Palm or Miniature Date Palm)

If you’re looking for a stunning container palm to grow indoors or out, we highly recommend Phoenix roebelenii. It’s one of the showiest palms you can grow indoors, and it works exceptionally well in entryways, shopping centers and restaurants. These are slow growers to 8 to 12 feet, and they prefer bright light and fast draining soil. They are cold-hardy to about 20° F without damage and extremely salt-tolerant. Pygmy Date palms are most often grown as singles, doubles, and triples per container, but Palmco grows them with up to 6 heads to help you create a dazzling centerpiece. Plant them with Queen Palms or alone as a tropical accent around pools.

Whether you need a single magnificent palm for an exclusive client in Miramar or several hundred of them for a large resort development, we have palm trees for sale that will satisfy all of your landscaping requirements.
