USDA Plant Hardiness Zone 10

USDA Hardiness Zones help determine which palms will grow in different regions based on cold-hardiness, or the lowest temperature it will survive in the winter.

Hollywood and Broward County, Florida are situated in USDA Zone 10b.

Plants in this region cannot typically survive temperatures below 30 °F, but this part of Florida is the only part of the continental U.S. with a true tropical monsoon climate, and many of our varieties of palm trees will flourish beautifully here.

With annual high temperatures of 83°F and low temperatures of 68°F, there’s little danger of freezing in this beachfront community! Although the winters are mild, a cold front has been known to pass through on occasion in 2010, temperatures hit a 12-year low of 34°F.
