Bamboo Plants for Sale In Naples
Aside from their beauty, one of the best features of clumping bamboo is that they are non-invasive.
They don’t spread horizontally beyond their assigned area, making them the ideal low-maintenance alternative to larger, more aggressive, running bamboos.

Established 30 years ago on Pine Island, Florida, we have 600-plus acres planted in the choicest palms and bamboos, ranging from exotic and rare varieties to the most familiar and widely used.
Our clumping bamboos will help you create privacy and beauty within just a few short a few growing seasons.
Consider one of these versatile, eye-catching, and fast-growing bamboos for your next project:
Seabreeze Bamboo
Native to Southern China, Bambusa malingensis is a graceful bamboo that has the ability to grow fast and withstand temperatures down to 20°F. This makes it ideal for use in Southwest Florida’s planting zones of 9a and up. It forms dense upright clumps of dark green culms that can reach 40 feet in height. Smaller leaves make it more tolerant to windy and stormy conditions. It’s also drought-tolerant and salt-tolerant.
The 1-1/2- to 2-1/2 inch diameter canes have a distinctive bluish-white tint in each section and make soothing “bamboo sounds” when the wind blows.
The canopy formed as the Seabreeze bamboo matures takes on an umbrella-shaped arch which is well-suited to attractive hedges, privacy screens and windbreaks.
Oldham or Oldhamii Bamboo
From Taiwan, Bambusa oldhamii (often called Giant Timber Bamboo) is the most common large tropical bamboo grown in the USA.
It can grow 50 to 60 feet tall with some of the largest diameter culms at 4 to 5 inches in diameter. In sunny conditions, the culms will have an orange hue, while shady conditions produce darker green culms with silvery powder. Oldhamii is simple to maintain and is cold hardy in all but the most severe winters. Tolerating frost as well as short periods of below freezing temperaturesand. Its straight horizontal growth and small footprint make it ideal as a specimen plant, for privacy screening and for blocking undesirable views.
The culms and leaves make “bamboo sounds” when they sway in the wind.
Golden Hawaiian Bamboo
Golden Hawaiian (Bambusa vulgaris ‘Vittata’) is one of our most colorful varieties of clumping bamboo.
This giant bamboo will definitely make a statement in your tropical landscape. It produces bright yellow culms with random green vertical stripes that look like they were painted on. It has a wide spreading rhizome structure, so it needs a large growing area unless contained in a pot or planter. It’s easily propagated and is capable of growing to a height of 35 to 50 feet with 4-inch diameter culms in about 3 years, however it is cold-sensitive and vulnerable to frost damage at 27° to 30° F.
This is an extremely beautiful ornamental bamboo in any setting.
