Where To Buy Palm Trees In South Carolina

Where To Buy Palm Trees In South Carolina

Palm trees are increasingly becoming the go-to tree for contractors in South Carolina but where to buy them is sometimes a bit of a conundrum.

Not anymore.

Palmco is the source for all your palm tree needs.

Our business, established in 1984 and located in a serene section of Florida paradise, is equipped to help you source the trees your clients require for their projects.

We can provide you with the best cold hardy palms available on today’s market.

We consistently grow the highest quality Florida Fancy grade trees and we make our farming techniques as “green” as possible. This means we recycle our plant matter into mulch and limit our water usage as well and implement crop rotations.

When you order from Palmco you can rest assured that the trees you pick will be the trees that show up at your site.

We tag the palms based on your specs and email pictures of the exact trees you will be receiving. This will assist you when selling the trees to your customers. You can use your carrier or we can arrange the delivery details.

Regardless, shipping from our farm to your project is a snap!

Palm Trees in South Carolina

South Carolina, depending on the location, can get as low as 10°F, so cold hardy trees are a must when designing your customer’s landscaping.

Luckily we grow a wide array of cold hardy palms.

However, we’d like to recommend a couple of palm trees to you that we think would be great additions to your contracting, landscaping and architectural needs.

First up for your consideration is the European Fan Palm.

This is originally from the Mediterranean region but has been known to do well in mountainous and coastal locations. In fact, it can even withstand occasional snow. They are cold hardy from Zones 7a-11.

Please note though that this is an incredibly slow growing palm tree. The only requirement is to be sure that the soil is well-drained. Otherwise, this palm is known for its ability to thrive in places that are generally not considered palm-friendly.

Next, we would like to present to you the Mule Palm.

This is a cross breed of the Pindo and Queen which are known for their ability to withstand cold weather and the Queen is notable for its rapid growth.

Therefore, the Mule Palm is a perfect combination of the two. Both cold hardy and quick growing. If you are looking for a coconut palm look-alike that can handle the South Carolina cold, this is the tree for you. This palm is drawing a good deal of interest as it has an incredible tropical appearance but grows in non-tropical regions.

Palmco enjoys a stellar reputation for the quality of our plants and our customer service.

Therefore, we make sure to have the cold hardy tree inventories to fill your orders. When you are gearing up for your next install or job bid, we can ship to your location.
