Brevard County Palm Beauties

Now that you know your growth zone, we’d like to recommend a few trees that are perfect for your area. Of course, many palms are quite versatile and therefore this is not an all-inclusive list.

If you have a specific look or style in mind, feel free to talk with our customer service experts.

  • Mule Palm
This is a very interesting species as it’s a cross between the Pindo and the Queen palms. The beauty of uniting these two palm varieties is that they create a tree that has a very tropical look but one that’s very cold hardy. Some would even call this the perfect palm. The cost of propagating this palm puts it on the high end and almost guarantees that it will be unlike any other palm in the area in which you are working. Save this one for your special customers!

  • Paurotis or Everglades Palm:
Perhaps your clients are more interested in native foliage. If this is the case, the Everglades palm is a great specimen to consider. It’s very versatile and works well in both commercial and residential architectural designs. One of the best aspects of this palm is that the pests don’t like it. Its beautiful fan shaped leaves have a silver underside, and it produces fruit in the spring complete with white flowers. Although the tree is protected in the wild it can be cultivated on our property for sale.

  • Pindo or Jelly Palm:
The Pindo is a terrific tree for consideration when working with someone who likes multi-purpose planting. The fruits of this tree, when ripe, make a great jelly that tastes like a cross between pineapples and bananas. Delicious! These are wind resistant and cold hardy trees that should be planted at least 10 feet from walkways or other paved surfaces as the dropped fruit can make a tremendous mess.

  • Reclinata or Senegal Date Palm:
This is a huge clumping tree than can make quite an impression when planted on campuses, in parks or yards. This tree is so beautiful that your clients might want to place a spotlight on it to show it off. As if that’s not enough, the sap can be brewed into a palm wine, the fruit is edible and so are the buds and hearts. This is a delicious and gorgeous tree!
