Cape Coral Palm Trees For Sale

Palmco is located in the sleepy community of Bokeelia on Pine Island, Florida, and we have over 600 acres of palm trees and bamboo in production.

As you look at the variety of Cape Coral palm trees for sale, we encourage you to talk to us about our wide selection, our state-of-the-art facilities, and our environmentally conscious growing process before you decide on the most suitable tree(s) for your project.

An eighteen mile long and two mile wide barrier island, Pine Island is surrounded by protective turquoise waters and moderate temperatures. This fertile setting provides a long growing season that allows tropical palms to develop to their most beautiful potential.

Aside from palms and bamboo, we are able to source almost anything, from rare wholesale magnolias and live oaks to shady ladies, sea grapes, and other quality plants.

Here are a few of the spectacular species of palm trees available from Palmco:

Areca Palm (Dypsis lutescens)

You will see this dramatic pinnate palm tree everywhere in South Florida. It originates from Madagascar and is a clustering palm, meaning that many trunks spring up from the base of the plant, giving it a lush full look. It has fluffy, fine-textured but dense fronds with canes that resemble clumping bamboo culms. It is sometimes called the Butterfly Palm or the Feather Palm. The Areca palm can reach heights of 15 to 20 feet, making it ideal as a privacy screen or hedge and as a landscape backdrop. Its canopy can grow 8 to 10 feet in diameter, so it’s important to allow enough room for the plant to grow properly. Palmco is a leading supplier of field grown Arecas in a variety of sizes.

Queen Palm (Syagrus Romanzoffiana)

Queen Palms grow best in full sun, adding as much as 6 feet a year to a maximum height of about 40 feet. Their trunks are singular, gray, and smooth with scars of old fronds. The lacy fronds are dark green and pinnate, with double rows of leaflets. The Queen is notable for its spectacular clusters of flowers and fruits. The flower clusters burst from large pods during the summer. In early winter, green fruit clusters appear. The spherical-shaped fruit eventually turns bright orange and hangs in long clusters.

Windmill Palm (Trachycarpus fortunei)

Windmill Palm is one of the most cold-hardy palms. It can withstand temperatures as low as 5°F. Windmill palms have palmate fronds that grow upward. They range from yellow-green to dark green and may be silvery on the underside. They are rather slender at 8 to 10 inches in diameter and are typically a bit narrower at the base than at the top. Trunks are usually covered with a loose mat of coarse gray or brown fiber. This palm is a slow grower at only about 1 foot per year. Although they can reach heights up to 40 feet tall, most top out at 25 feet with a frond spread up to 10 feet.
